The locally based, yet world famous Newark International Antiques & Collectors Fair, celebrates its 25th anniversary this October. Taking place at the Newark & Nottinghamshire Showground, Europe's largest antiques event will reach its quarter of a century birthday on Thursday October 7th.
To mark the occasion, organisers International Antiques & Collectors Fairs Ltd (IACF), are encouraging stallholders and buyers both past and present, as well as those completely new to the industry to come along and share in a day of celebrations! Memories, stories and photos of those very first fairs back in 1985 will be commemorated in a special addition of the old Newark fair magazine - Fairs News, which will be available free of charge to all visitors.
The Newark Fair is a phenomenal event, its reputation based on the vast number of stalls it attracts to the Newark & Nottinghamshire Showground every other month. Up to 4,000 stalls make up the fair each time, providing a product choice that is unrivalled. From fine furniture, paintings and teddies, to ceramics, jewellery and memorabilia, the list really is endless.
Visitors come from around the globe to attend what is considered by many to be the ultimate antiques trading experience, but you don't have to be an expert to be part of the action. |
