09/17/2009  NEW SENIOR HOSPITALITY EXECUTIVE IS APPOINTED BY WYNDHAM

    It has been revealed that Wyndham Hotel Group has chosen their new Senior Hospitality Executive and it comes in the form of a Mr Matthew Sparks. Sparks, will be the senior vice president of development for the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand. He is set to have a variety of responsibilities and he will mainly be in charge of the growth and development of the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand's portfolio through management and franchise agreements throughout the Western United States and Western Canada.

     Jim Alderman, Wyndham Hotel Group executive vice president of global development has stated that Sparks will be great for the team and that he has a fantastic capability to build and establish long-lasting client relationships. Sparks has a lot of terrific experience and has had a number of senior and executive level development roles including the most recent where he was senior vice president of global development for Fairmont Raffles Hotels International and was based in Singapore. Other companies that he has worked for are Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Marriott International and Westin Hotels and Resorts. Not only did Sparks graduate from the Michigan State University but he is also on the Alumni Board of Directors for the university's School of Hospitality Business.
