09/15/2009  WYNDHAM HOTEL GROUP CONTINUES TO EXPAND ITS RAMADA BRAND

    Wyndham Hotel Group’s Ramada brand is continuing to expand with its new hotel opening of the Ramada Yekaterinburg, which has been launched in Russia. It is the brand’s first property in the country, meaning Ramada now has a presence in 48 countries. This is a great step for the brand and a fantastic addition to Wyndham’s portfolio. Ramada Yekaterinburg consist of 156 plush guestrooms which offer high-speed wireless Internet access and 32-inch flat-screen televisions. This past year has seen the hotel group open a Ramada branded property in a new country four times and this latest addition makes it five.

    Wyndham Hotel Group has fast become the world’s leading hotel company, with a total of more than 7,000 hotels under 11 brands. Michael Poynter, Wyndham Hotel Group senior vice president and managing director, Europe, Middle East and Africa has stated Yekaterinburg is one of Russia’s more lively cities and is also one of the largest. This demonstrates the popularity of the brand and its strong international appeal. The property has been conveniently constructed three and a half miles from Kotsovo International Airport and therefore the hotel offers guests complimentary airport and city shuttles. Ramada Yekaterinburg features business and fitness centres, heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a sauna, full-service restaurant, three bars and a night club.
