For the 33rd year, The American Club has been awarded the prestigious AAA Five Diamond designation making the historic resort-hotel the only property in Wisconsin to receive the accolade. Properties identified by AAA as potential candidates for the Five Diamond rating undergo multiple thorough evaluations before a final decision is determined by a panel of experts. Located at the award-winning Destination Kohler in Kohler, WI, The American Club exceeded AAA’s requirements for its highest honor by providing guests with the ultimate in luxury, sophistication and comfort, with extraordinary physical attributes, extensive amenities and impeccable standards of excellence.

“We are honored to receive the AAA Five and Four Diamond designations for The American Club and The Immigrant Restaurant, respectively,” says Christine Loose, group director of lodging for Kohler Co. Hospitality & Real Estate. “These distinctions are a true testament to our dedicated staff’s commitment to providing guests with unprecedented hospitality and a highly personalized experience.”

Once home to immigrants who came to work at the Kohler factory, the Tudor-style American Club was transformed into a world-class travel destination in 1981, boasting elegant rooms outfitted with the finest Kohler plumbing products; the award-winning Kohler Waters Spa, a leader in innovative hydrotherapy treatments; an evolving health and wellbeing program with Yoga on the Lake at the core; 12 distinct dining establishments; and award-winning, championship golf courses, Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run, which have hosted three PGA Championships, the U.S. Senior Open, two U.S. Women’s Opens, and will host the upcoming 2020 Ryder Cup.

In addition to Five Diamond lodging accommodations, The American Club is also home to The Immigrant Restaurant, which received a AAA Four Diamond designation. Restaurants of this caliber – of which there are only three others in Wisconsin – offer distinctive fine-dining, creatively prepared and skillfully served, amidst an upscale ambience. The crown jewel of Destination Kohler’s culinary program, The Immigrant Restaurant is rich in character and historic elegance with a layout comprised of six spaces, which represent the nationalities of the immigrants who originally populated Wisconsin (French, Dutch, German, Normandy, Danish and English). The intimate and romantic setting is complemented by contemporary American cuisine with modern European influences.

Also joining Kohler Co.’s portfolio of AAA Diamond rated properties is LODGE KOHLER. Situated across the street from the iconic Lambeau Field and in the heart of the Green Bay Packer’s new Titletown District, the 144-room property received the AAA Four Diamond rating upon its grand opening in July 2017, and is the only hotel in the Green Bay area to boast such a distinction.
