The View, an aptly named design hotel overlooking the Lake of Lugano

The View is a small design hotel recently opened in Lugano, Switzerland.

Nestled in the hillside of Paradiso and overlooking the lake of Lugano and the mountains beyond, The View only has 18 suites. All enjoy lake views and are generously laid out: the 16 junior suites measure 50 sqm and the Ambassador suites 105 sqm. The contemporary interior decor scheme is inspired by luxury yachts, with marine teak floors and leather furniture. Fine satin, linen or cotton bedsheets, goosedown duvets and scented pillows, as well as ensuite bath tub and chromotherapy shower all enhance the luxurious effect.

A spa with two panoramic indoor pools, fitness center, two hammam rooms, two sauna rooms, salt room, various treatment rooms and fitness room. Guests who want to explore the surrounding area can borrow the hotel’s 6 electric cars and 12 electric bicycles.

The lounge bar and the restaurant share a large terrace overlooking the lake. The Innocenti Evasioni Gourmet Restaurant is run by Michelin-starred chefs Eros Picco and Tommaso Arrigoni: Picco is now in sole charge of the Swiss restaurant, while Arrigoni remains at the helm of the original Innocenti Evasioni restaurant in Milan, Italy.
