Leading private hotel booking platform, Hotel Engine, broadens its international presence with the addition of 20,000 hotels in the Caribbean, Central America and – for the first time ever – South America. The upgrade, which connects members to wholesale rates at more than 100,000 hotels in 110+ countries, is part of an aggressive global expansion project to be completed by the end of 2017.
“We are always looking for ways to provide our members with more value,” said Elia Wallen, founder and president of Hotel Engine. “Adding hotels in South America, a hot travel destination this year, delivers thousands of new ways members can save up to 60 percent off public hotel rates.”
The rapid inventory growth, up 25 percent in the past six months with an estimated 650 percent total increase by the end of the year, is a result of new and expanded supplier relationships. The uptick in partnerships, coupled with low overhead costs, allows Hotel Engine to provide its members with even deeper hotel discounts in more areas.
“As our go-to hotel booking website, Hotel Engine has helped our members save thousands of dollars on hotel expenses,” said Anthony Clervi, a long-standing member of Hotel Engine and president of UNA Purchasing Solutions. “In our experience, it can be difficult to find great rates at reputable hotels internationally; Hotel Engine now makes that infinitely easier for us.”
The first of Hotel Engine’s three-part 2017 global expansion includes boutique inns, budget-friendly hotels and luxury resorts in exotic tropical locations, including Trinidad and Tobago; Martinique; Costa Rica; Nicaragua; Brazil; and Ecuador to name just a few.
